美国韦恩州立大学应浩教授学术报告

报告简介:

Fuzzy set theory has been used successfully in virtually all the technical fields, including control, modeling. image/signal processing and expert systems. The most successful and active field, however,is fuzzy control. The world's first fuzzy controller was developed in 1974. The primary thrust of this novel control paradigm is to utilize human control operator's knowledge and experience to intuitively construct a controller so that the resulting controller is able to emulate human control behavior to a certain extent. Since mid 1980's, companies around the world have extensively utilized fuzzy control to make better, cheaper and smarter products. Many of them are consumer electronic products commercially available.

In this presentation, Professor Ying will first introduce a type-1 (T1) fuzzy set (that is, the traditional fuzzy set), fuzzy logic and T1 fuzzy inference. He will then describe how a T1 fuzzy controller works. Areal-time T1 fuzzy control system governing blood pressure of open-heart patients in a surgical intensive care unit is presented, which was developed and clinically tested by Professor Ying in 1988. This is world' s very first clinical application of fuzzy control. Fuzzy control involving type-2 (T2) fuzzy sets and inference are drawing increasing attention in the past 15 years or so as the highly successful T1 fuzzy control technology is maturing. The number of reports is relatively small at present, but the trend is upward. Membership function of a T2 fuzzy set is three-dimensional whereas that of a T1 fuzzy set is two dimensional. The newly added third dimension membership enables the T2 fuzzy set to better characterize membership function uncertainties than a T1 fuzzy set can. The reporter will show how a T2 fuzzy controller works.

应浩教授,IEEEFellow,美国韦恩州立大学电气及计算机工程系终身正教授,模糊控制领域的国际知名学者。在Automatica. Fuzzy Sets and Systems. IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEEE Transactions on Cybernetics等著名国际期刊上发表论文110余篇以及会议论文160余篇,出版了2本著作。担任多个国际期刊的副主编,(例如,IEEE Transactionson Fuzzy Systems),另外作为编委委员会主席、成员组织了多次学术会议。目前他的Google Schholar h-index为47
